Busy and intriguing week…

‘Packed week to come over the jumps and a few quality races of interest on the flat.

In total we have fourteen jump meetings starting with three on Monday from Ffos Las and Hexham in the afternoon along with a decent card at Kempton in the evening.

Just the one meeting on Tuesday as Southwell stage an expanded eight race card. Wednesday sees the start of an attractive three day fixture from Perth with the opening day featuring two Listed races. We also have jumps action from Ludlow plus the Taunton and Uttoxeter evening cards.

Second day at Perth on Thursday along with Huntingdon and Warwick which has attracted a host of entries. No jumps racing in England on Friday as Perth hold the final day of their Festival meeting and Chepstow race in the evening. A quality flat card at Sandown with three Group races.

Plenty of future pointers last week on the flat from the meetings at Newmarket and Newbury. The cards at Sandown on Friday and Epsom on Tuesday should provide further pointers.

Final day of the 2023/24 jumps campaign comes from Sandown on Saturday. Willie Mullins already has one hand on the trainers championship and with the big prize money on offer at Sandown will be strongly represented to claim the title.

A largely dry week ahead. The ground will be firming up which gives the faster ground horses an opportunity to race in far better conditions than they have endured all season. Plus we have the prospect of quite a few Irish entrants throughout the week.
