Cracking week of racing…

‘High quality on the flat this week led by the York and Newbury meetings plus summer jumps fixtures every day.

I look to price up every race of betting interest in order to determine true value. Although we are still in the early stages of the flat season, the form is settling down. This gives me the scope to price up more races with a greater degree of certainty. The three day York Dante meeting starting Wednesday and the Newbury Lockinge card on Saturday will be most informative.

Over the jumps, we start with Hereford on Monday and Southwell Tuesday. The latter have significant distance increases in all races.

Main interest in the days following is likely to be at the two-dayer from Perth, then the Aintree evening meeting on Friday and a good prize money card at Bangor on Saturday. As ever, true betting value will be paramount.

After a dry and warm period the weather pattern changes towards widespread rain and a drop in temperature to start the coming week. With management this should serve to freshen up the ground and promote further grass growth.

Last week the firmer conditions meant that pace rather than stamina was the key requirement. An informative and selective week which pushed the profits forward for the summer season with three successful bets from the four advised.

We have a cracking week of racing to come and potentially a busy one. As the season develops I will be looking to increase turnover in a disciplined manner. Latest terms for the summer and beyond are now available.’
