‘With quite a few good quality meetings to go at, I anticipated that we would continue to be busy last week. However, despite no end of work, true betting value was in short supply and I decided that patience was a far better strategy than frittering away profits on bets that we shouldn’t be having.

Plenty to learn from the past week particularly midweek with Cheltenham and Newmarket which will prove valuable for the future.

With the addition of evening racing the week ahead provides a packed schedule on both the flat and jumps. Good quality card at Epsom on Tuesday is followed by a three-dayer from Perth starting Wednesday. Then we have the Jumps Finale day at Sandown on Saturday.

Very little rain is forecast for the week which will see the courses continue watering.’
