A selective and profitable week overall. The highlights included a thrilling victory from Moriko De Vassy who overcame a stumble at the last hurdle to storm home under a tremendous ride by Aidan Coleman.

‘Plenty of work went into the past week but my prices often were very similar to the market. Value is the key factor and if it is not there, patience and discipline are essential. A successful week which added to the monthly profits and those achieved for the current campaign.

The week ahead sees an increase in jumps fixtures available. The midweek cards at Newbury, Ludlow and Wincanton are of particular interest. Two top class meetings at Ascot and Haydock on Saturday.

Another settled week is forecast, hopefully without the dense fog which put a few meetings in jeopardy last week. The ground should continue to dry and we can expect the going to be on the softer side of good at most tracks.

I will be looking to increase turnover taking a balanced approach through the coming week. As ever, value is uppermost.
