Lambourn Valley Housing Trust (Registered Charity No. 1049742) primarily provides affordable homes for stable staff and their families in the Lambourn area along with support for local community projects. Their work helps retain valuable stable staff and attract new staff.

Thank you very much to all contributors for another donation.
The Lambourn Valley Housing Trust has just purchased 1 three bed and 6 two bed houses, all together at St Michael’s Close in Lambourn. The houses will be leased to Trainers with the aim that they will be used for single staff. Our other houses are for families, or married couples. We now have 27 houses, 18 were built by us on land we purchased, and 4 flats – 31 properties. The annual Lambourn Open Day, started in 1990, has been a significant provider of funds. The Trust also provides finance for other Lambourn Racing projects. The Lambourn Open Day also donates some of its profits to clubs and organisations in the Lambourn Valley, as well as to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Thank you for your continued support. 

We are currently trying to finalise an important and sizeable purchase of housing for single staff. We have also given support to several Lambourn-based organisations connected to the welfare of the staff and their families. For example, we recently bought the school a defibrillator, which they needed. 

Thank you to all contributors towards your latest cheque. The money is a great boost for us and we appreciate your support. We have recently paid off the debt on the last of the eighteen houses we built at Francome Fields. We are hoping to purchase a house nearby which also has some land on which we could build another house. Otherwise we are funding any small projects which benefit staff and their families. We have also helped the local school and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance who are an enormous help to us when unfortunate accidents happen on the gallops etc. Thank you again so much.

2023 Open Day
