As expected, the colder weather has taken a tight grip on racing prospects for the remainder of the week.
It is hoped that the early covering of courses will allow some racing to take place Friday and Saturday, especially the Sandown and Wetherby cards.

I decided that Saturday should be more of a watching day given the ground conditions and that certain horses were not yet fully wound up.
Reviewed the Leopardstown races and had a long discussion with my senior Irish contact to compare notes. The disparity in whip regulations between Ireland and Britian is an added factor for the Festival meetings.'
